Get ready with us

Where to begin?
We are leaving Arizona and heading to Europe for the next 9 months. We decided to either sell or lease our home. When we return to Arizona, we'll find a short-term rental until we leave again. So, we had to sell, donate, or store all of our belongings (including our cars!).
We had previously downsized our home after the kids all left for college. We've been living in a small, historic bungalow in Phoenix and thought we were living rather simply - nearly a minimalistic lifestyle. However, when you have to get rid of or store everything you own, that is when you learn how much of a minimalist you truly are (turns out, we didn't pass that test!).
Some of the other details we had to consider before leaving for 9 months:
updating all health, medical tests, dental visits
mail service
mobile phone plans
travel insurance
passports, visas
itineraries - booking flights, accommodations, cars, trains, counting Shengen zone days...
We'll be traveling with just 1 large backpack to carry all our clothes (H will be carrying this!) and we'll each have a personal bag to carry on the flight. This will be tricky since we are headed to cold & rainy regions: Our first stop will be London, England. Come with us!
